The opportunity: Our actuarial advisers deliver creative and innovative thinking to clients worldwide, supporting them in making confident financial judgements in support of their business goals. Here, you'll be right at the heart of that mission, leading engagement teams, working directly with clients, mentoring and developing team members and building your personal brand as a leader in your field.
Your key responsibilities: It's all about providing the knowledge our clients need to execute strategies and resolve complex issues. We'll look to you to play significant roles in client engagement teams in the financial modeling area of our practice, in a wide variety of projects including:
Skills and attributes for success: Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Stay abreast of current business, regulatory and industry trends relevant to the client's business. Assist clients in tackling unique and complex business issues through innovative solution development, leadership and a strong EY team. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge with the ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge. Possess good business acumen and remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge. Understand and communicate complex actuarial issues. Stay informed of and apply professional standards and firm policies (e.g., Actuarial Standards of Practice). Develop a strong personal brand and enhance the EY brand by writing articles, participating in industry groups and speaking at seminars. Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment, counseling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members in real time.
