As a Float Nurse, you'll be part of a vital resource team, supporting Medical Surgical units across our community hospital. Where You'll Work: Float pool nurses rotate through a variety of areas of Medical Surgical Units, including: 2 East, 2 North, and 3 North – adult medical-surgical units caring for diverse patient populations

What You'll Do: As a Float Pool RN at BID Milton, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple medical-surgical units. Each shift, you'll adapt quickly to new environments while ensuring safe, compassionate care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct patient care and making informed nursing judgments in diverse clinical settings
• Systematically assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and evaluating outcomes
• Coordinating care and directing assistive personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and timely care
• Collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to support seamless patient care
• Acting as a patient advocate by building trust, maintaining respect, and effectively communicating with patients and families
• Assisting with specialized therapies and monitoring patients recovering from procedures, anesthesia, or moderate sedation
• Demonstrating ongoing professional growth through continuing education, quality improvement initiatives, and unit-based competencies
• Maintaining adherence to infection control standards, safety regulations, and BID Milton's policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
• Current Massachusetts RN license in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with the American Heart Association required; ACLS preferred
• 2+ years of nursing experience preferred
• Recent acute Medical/Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience strongly preferred

Pay Range: $36.00 - $90.14
