The Military DoD SkillBridge program offers service members valuable civilian work experience through industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. SkillBridge connects service members with industry partners for real-world job experiences. GE HealthCare offers real-world training and work experience in in-demand fields.

SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from GE HealthCare, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.

Responsibilities

  • Work within hospital radiology to evaluate and troubleshoot imaging equipment issues.
  • Complete preventative maintenance.
  • Perform safety and environmental inspections.
  • Complete service and repair documentation.
  • Maintain daily communications with customers.
  • Learn and ensure proper care of tools and test equipment.
  • Mentor with and assist more experienced technicians.
  • Complete all planned quality and compliance training.
  • Comply with GEHC quality policies and regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • AS, BS, MS degree, military education, certificate program, or current student with less than 12 months from completion.
  • High School Diploma/GED with 6 months experience servicing electronic, IT or mechanical equipment.
  • Previous experience interpreting schematic diagrams and performing troubleshooting and planned maintenance.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience interpreting schematic diagrams and perform effective repair and planned maintenance.
  • Analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good customer relations.
  • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
  • Change agent and process oriented.
  • Local candidates strongly preferred.
  • Special physical requirements.
  • Compliance with GEHC's background check and drug test.
