Mechanical Engineer

The Raytheon Air Defense Ground Equipment department is looking for a full-time Mechanical Engineer, located in Tewksbury, MA. This is an onsite role.

Responsibilities to Anticipate

• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of cables and harnesses for defense system equipment in accordance with system requirements.
• Drawing generation, drawing release, and drawing change incorporation.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop interconnection design solutions.
• Support and participate in design peer reviews, resolving action items.
• Support production floor, collecting issues, providing status and participate in problem resolution.

Basic Qualifications

• Typically requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field and two (2)+ years of experience in a Mechanical Engineering role focusing on hardware design.
• CAD design experience.
• Understanding of configuration management practices.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and results orientated.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• CREO, AutoCAD preferred.
• Experience with modeling and routing of cables and harnesses using CREO.
• Working knowledge of Military and Commercial Specifications.
• Ability to achieve results with a minimum of conflicts and within schedule.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
• Familiarity with Configuration and Data Management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Power Point/Project).

Clearance Information

This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is $66,000 - $130,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
