HR Generalist Position

We are looking for a skilled HR Generalist to join our team in Lowell, Massachusetts. In this role, you will oversee a variety of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual dedicated to fostering a positive workplace environment while ensuring HR processes align with organizational standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage job postings and oversee applicant flow for various positions, including hourly, driver, warehouse, and other roles.
  • Conduct candidate screenings, schedule interviews, and maintain communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements such as background checks, drug screenings, and motor vehicle records.
  • Prepare offer letters and ensure hiring and onboarding processes comply with regulations.
  • Facilitate onboarding activities, including paperwork, system access, and orientation sessions.
  • Maintain personnel files, I-9 documentation, and records to ensure compliance.
  • Process terminations and manage offboarding tasks, including final pay and benefits updates.
  • Support benefits enrollment processes, handle changes, and assist with qualifying life events.
  • Assist with open enrollment coordination and employee communication in partnership with vendors.
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance documentation and employee discussions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources roles, including employee relations and HR administration.
  • Proficiency in onboarding processes and benefits functions.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and their utilization.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations and HR documentation standards.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting managers in performance-related tasks and employee conversations.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
