Food Service Worker

We are hiring immediately for a full and part time Food Service Worker position at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Address: 100 Institute Road, Worcester, MA 01609. At least one year of previous food service experience required. Pay range: $16.50 per hour.

Job Summary: Prepares, presents and serves food as needed. Essential duties and responsibilities include performing prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables, weighing and measuring designated ingredients, carrying pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, storing food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures, cleaning work areas, equipment and utensils, distributing supplies, utensils and portable equipment, utilizing approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service, resolving customer concerns and relaying relevant information to supervisor, ensuring compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures, assuring compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements, and performing other duties as assigned.
