The Raytheon team is looking for a DevSecOps (DSO) Engineer II to support our radar programs and the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software (SW) Department. The MDS SW mission is to provide world class radar and command and control (C2) software for our customers' wide array of surveillance and warning systems. We align to the core agile and DevSecOps principles of collaborative operation across the entire value stream, delivering high-frequency, high-quality deployments to our customers. As a member of our team, you will design, develop, test, and release software products for one of our C2 programs. Some of the programs our department supports include NASAMS (NASAMS | Raytheon), and Air Defense Operations Center (ADOC). The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in agile methodologies and DevSecOps. They will have a strong background in pipelines and tooling, and the ability to work 100% onsite and collaboratively with a team.
The job location for this opportunity is in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.
Work on an agile team responsible for developing and delivering software for one of the MDS Department's programs. Specific responsibilities include:
Typically requires a degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. Experience in software build deployments, containerization methodologies (e.g. Docker/Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (e.g. Ansible, Terraform). Experience developing software in a team-based development environment using the Agile Scrum or Kanban framework. Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date, U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience with agile management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence). Experience with DevSecOps tools and platforms (Docker, Ansible Tower, Artifactory, GitHub/BitBucket). Proven experience leading an engineering team, preferably using the Agile Scrum or Kanban framework. Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user requirements. Well-developed communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills. Exposure to radar software development and/or radar concepts. Proven experience with current missile defense programs with specific experience in large, complex systems. Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements. Experience contributing in a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to technical problems. Ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions. Ability to promote a culture of continuous learning, cross-team collaboration and training. Excellent communication, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
