Researching component termination styles, plastic encapsulation styles and component construction processes. Generation of vendor identification drawings, source control drawings and altered item drawings. Process change notices/change orders in PTC windchill for part bill of materials and maintaining the engineering BOM in accordance with LM processes. Maintain windchill parts library for tactical and test stand hardware. Develop component qualification test plans and execute part qualifications with test houses. Develop component screenings for parts as directed by parts management process plan. Research and determine impact of PCN's and obsolescence on the programs. Review parts in Siemens Expedition Library for approvals per PMP guidelines.
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or degree in Science Technology Engineering. Good verbal and written communication skills. The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
Experience with parts standardization application and technology insertion within the design process. Function as an experienced component technologist, responsible for the life cycle of strategic electronic components. Knowledge of component selection, screening, qualification, and derating for use in military, and aerospace flight applications. Experience with BOM (Bill of Material) development and management for developmental and production programs. Knowledge of circuit card and EEE parts material manufacturing processes. Knowledge of engineering specification requirements and interpretations is desirable. Experience in participating in major program milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR.

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $57,500 - $101,430. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
