Senior Quality Engineer
Delta Faucet Company is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer with expertise in electronics manufacturing and product quality systems. In this role, you will drive quality excellence across electrical and digital product platforms by developing robust validation processes, solving complex product challenges, and leading continuous improvement in collaboration with cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners.
You will be a key technical leader within the organization, ensuring products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement inspection, testing, and validation methods to ensure product conformance to specifications.
- Design and optimize test processes, equipment, and quality control mechanisms for production environments.
- Conduct statistical process control (SPC), data analysis, and risk assessment to proactively identify quality issues.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure compliance with quality system documentation and engineering change controls.
- Lead and manage quality projects with minimal direction, delivering measurable results.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior quality engineers and technicians.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) through post-launch hyper-care, process monitoring, and fixture optimization.
- Develop and approve manufacturing test plans with contract manufacturers and internal plants.
- Execute quality assessments including like-model reviews, DPPM analysis, customer return evaluations, and PPAP submissions.
- Perform software quality validation and regression testing prior to firmware and software releases.
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge and experience in quality engineering, typically obtained through education and relevant work experience.
- Electronics manufacturing experience, including familiarity with surface mount technology (SMT) and wave soldering.
- Experience with software reflash procedures, rework processes, and execution in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding standard PCBA test methods including AOI, X-ray, ICT, and Functional test.
- Familiarity with IPC standards, RoHS, FCC, and ESD standards
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience leading quality initiatives in low-volume or complex manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
