Wind Energy Construction Laborer

In this role, you'll play an important part in supporting the construction, mechanical, and industrial projects that help power the wind energy industry. Flexibility is key in this role, as the position requires travel and out-of-town work, with the possibility of working extended hours, weekends, holidays, and occasionally night shifts.

What You'll Do:

• Provide labor for various wind, facilities construction, industrial, and mechanical projects
• Learn to operate basic machinery such as a man-lift, scissor lift, fork-lift, etc.
• Assist in the installation of wind turbines, including the assembly of components such as blades, nacelles, and towers
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure the turbines are operating efficiently to include lubrication, filter changes, and checking for wear and tear on components
• Learn to read blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements

Working Conditions:

• Sit, talk, hear, read, and write
• Regularly walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Perform duties on-site at industrial and commercial locations
• Work in extreme temperature conditions and environments
• Perform work at a variety of heights

What You'll Bring:

• 0-2 years of basic construction and/or mechanical experience preferred
• Possesses a mechanical aptitude with prior experience in commercial/industrial mechanical fields preferred
• Valid drivers license preferred
• Experience using basic hand tools
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Comfortable with working at heights required
