Job Title

Responsibilities: Lead and support the planning, analysis, design, and permitting of water resources projects, including:

  • Stormwater management
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
  • Dam and embankment evaluation and breach modeling
  • Floodplain studies
  • Erosion and sediment control
  • Prepare engineering plans, reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Manage and mentor junior engineering staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Conduct field investigations and site assessments.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist with proposal development and business development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited program; Masters degree preferred.
  • 11-15 years of progressive experience in water resources engineering.
  • Active Maryland Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain within 6 months, if registered elsewhere).
  • Proficiency in water resources modeling software such as HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), HEC-HMS, SWMM, TR-55, and similar.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Maryland environmental regulations and permitting processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
