This position serves as an expert in pharmaceutical science and as the Service Chief for Clinical Pharmacy & Investigational Drug Research Section (CPIDRS) in the Pharmacy Department with responsibility for the leadership, management, and staff supervision of the Clinical Pharmacy & Investigational Drug Research Section that provides the clinical pharmacy services, investigational drug management and research services, and as an expert in pharmaceutical science.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate for this position will be an exceptionally talented, knowledgeable, and motivated pharmacy leader with extensive experience with health-system pharmacy operations, clinical pharmacy practice, investigational drug management, and regulatory compliance as well as knowledge of USP standards, cGMP regulations, and ICH/GCP requirements. A Doctor of Pharmacy degree recognized by Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and a Pharmacist License are required. For this position, the highly desired candidate will also have post-graduate year 1 and year 2 residency training or clinical fellowship, board certification, and at least 10 to 15 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience.

Education: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. OR Applicants who have a bachelor's degree in pharmacy may also qualify contingent upon an additional review of your qualifications.
Licensure: Applicants must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Specialized Experience: In order to meet the minimum qualifications for each position described above you must have at least one year of professional pharmacy experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal Government obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following:
