Project Engineer

We are seeking a Project Engineer to lead a significant water tower replacement project in PG County, Maryland. This role involves on-site support from a project trailer and serves as the primary point of contact for our company on the general contractor side. The project is already underway and is expected to last 18 months, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact on-site for the general contractor.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and owners on-site.
• Manage all project documents, including submittals.
• Oversee project site safety and document any incidents.
• Participate in progress meetings.
• Ensure effective subcontractor management and communication.

Essential Skills:

• Proficient in project management and construction management.
• Experience with project engineering and construction documents.
• Ability to manage Requests for Information (RFI) and change orders.
• Strong understanding of site safety policies and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong contract document experience, especially with submittals.
• Commercial construction experience.

Work Environment:

This role involves working on a construction site from a project trailer and requires interaction with a project manager in the office. There will also be collaboration with a foreman and superintendent on-site, supporting the self-perform team.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
