Design and Layout: Develop plumbing system designs including domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage, and specialty systems (medical gas, compressed air, etc.).
Technical Documentation: Prepare drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD and Revit.
Code Compliance: Ensure designs meet local, state, and national codes (IPC, NFPA, LEED standards).
Coordination: Work closely with architects, structural, and mechanical engineers to integrate plumbing systems into overall building design.
Construction Support: Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and perform site visits for quality assurance.
Analysis: Conduct hydraulic calculations, sizing of piping systems, and equipment selection.
Innovation: Incorporate sustainable design practices and energy-efficient solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
10-15 years of plumbing design experience in building projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with BIM workflows.
Strong understanding of plumbing codes, standards, and sustainable design principles.
PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $100,000.00 - $180,000.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
