Currently we have a Parts and Service Manager role open at our Frederick Maryland Branch. The Parts and Service Manager is responsible for directing parts/services, supporting sales and marketing efforts in accordance with the overall goals and strategies of the distributor operations, as well as the daily management of the department functions and personnel. Essential Job Functions include: supervising, directing, and coordinating the efforts of all departments; scheduling service department repairs based upon the priority of the repair and the availability of appropriately skilled service technicians and specialists; communicating with customers to determine the priority of repairs to be made and machine availability, as well as follow-up conversations regarding customer satisfaction and resolution of any issues as they arise; directing service department personnel to ensure appropriate efficiency and productivity rates, minimization of lost time, and compliance with company policies; fielding all service-related phone calls, answering customer inquiries, and assisting with requests for technical information; ensuring the proper maintenance and repairs of all rental fleet and stock units, and the efficient delivery and set-up of new equipment sold; responsible for developing and implementing safety programs and procedures to protect employees and maintain compliance with governing statutes; responsible for ensuring that the shop facilities and yard are kept neat, clean, orderly, and in compliance with all environmental regulations and guidelines; providing financial forecasts and projected capital expenditures as required for use in the budgeting and other long-term planning processes; maintaining proper levels of inventory by placing regular stock orders with vendors while monitoring stock status for adequate inventory turnovers and ratios; developing, implementing, and maintaining the necessary inventory controls and procedures to safeguard the distributor's investment; overseeing and participating in taking and processing all parts orders and work order requisitions and answering related customer inquiries and requests for technical information; developing and implementing parts marketing strategies that correlate to the overall strategy of the distributor operations and serve to improve profitability while maintaining an appropriate level of customer satisfaction and loyalty; developing and maintaining performance standards and appropriate measurements for the parts department.
General Requirements include a 4-year college degree. Years of experience may substitute in lieu of education requirement. Minimum of five (5) years of parts, service, sales and/or marketing experience. At least two (2) years of management and/or supervisory experience.
Compensation and Benefits This position offers a salary range of $80,000 - $85,000 annually depending upon experience.
