Healthcare Customer Service Representative - Remote Eligible

Fully Remote Medical Billing Customer Service Role

TekSystems is currently hiring for a fully remote Medical Billing Customer Service Role. This position must sit in MD or driving distance to MD. Must have any medical billing, EOB experience or something related! The role involves responding to customer inquiries regarding patient accounts, assisting in resolving issues and concerns, and maintaining professional and courteous behavior to ensure a positive image within the community served and to promote customer satisfaction. Assists management with the training of new hires. They will be going over billing issues and EOBs with patients that are calling in over the phone. They will need to understand what an EOB is, be able to describe what the insurance company has paid and what they owe as well. They need to be able to understand the medical billing process. Additional skills and qualifications must have an associate's or bachelor's or CPAT. CPAT certified is a plus. Requires detailed working knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in multiple payers application billing and or collection processes, with particular focus on billing specifically. Need to understand and be able to read an EOB. Must understand what medical insurance is and know how to explain what insurance does. Must have excellent patient customer service experience. Need to fully understand the medical billing process.

Job Type & Location: This is a contract to hire position based out of Baltimore, MD. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
