The Basic Needs and Support Specialist supports student well-being by coordinating basic needs resources, connecting students to housing, health, and community services, and maintaining partnerships with local organizations. The role also develops and delivers health education and wellness programs aligned with best practices, collaborates across campus, and markets initiatives to students. Additional responsibilities include representing the department at events, supporting campus programs, serving on committees, and assisting with special projects.

Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum of one year of social service support experience required. Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate programs, including setting goals, coordinating activities, and measuring outcomes. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Skill in utilizing sound judgement to make effective decisions. Ability to handle sensitive material and maintain confidentiality.
Master's Degree preferred. Certified in CPR, Narcan, and Mental Health First Aid preferred. Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred.
Hours per week: 40 - 100%
General weekly work schedule: M-F 8:30 am-4:30 pm
