Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a full-time Operations Manager or Senior Operations Manager at the Cox Creek Dredged Material Containment Facility and the Cox Creek Sediment Technology and Reuse Facility, located in Anne Arundel County and Baltimore City, Maryland. Responsibilities for this position includes assisting the Lead Operations Manager with planning, coordinating, and directing the daily functions of the facilities. This includes on-site management of staff, procurement, budget development and oversight, operations and maintenance of facilities and equipment, heavy equipment, and vehicles, personnel management, safety, execution and planning assistance for placement and management of dredged material, overseeing facilities improvements and construction projects and other duties as assigned. This position will assist with communication between MES Headquarters staff in Millersville, Maryland and the site, and will interact with the environmental staff, clients, contractors, vendors, and state agency project representatives.
The job classification offered will be dependent upon relevant knowledge and experience as it relates to the position.
Estimated Pay Range:
Operations Manager: $66,861.04 to $91,933.74
Senior Operations Manager: $73,547.00 to $101,127.12

Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from a standard high school or possession of GED equivalency certification. Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points. Additional requirements include:
Operations Manager: 5 years applicable experience and 2 years of supervisory experience in field operations or construction activities.
Senior Operations Manager: 7 years of applicable experience and 4 years of supervisory experience in field operations or construction activities.
Preferred qualifications: Preferred candidate will have experience in construction and regulatory requirements as they pertain to construction. Additional experience in constructing berms/dikes, general construction, drying and consolidating material, and managing water for discharge is a plus.
