Job Opportunity At Marsh

Marsh Advisory is a subsidiary of Marsh, a leader in insurance brokerage, offering management consulting services on operational risk for medium and large industrial companies.

We are looking for a junior profile interested in pursuing a career in risk consulting within the Property Risk Consulting team at our Milan office.

What to expect:

As a Risk Consultant for the Property team, you will support clients in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks that threaten their production, logistics, and commercial facilities, by visiting facilities and getting to know the plants and technologies closely. You will have the opportunity to apply your technical skills with the aim of reducing the likelihood that fires, natural disasters, explosions, and machinery failures cause damage to their properties and block strategic activities.

Specifically, you will have the opportunity to carry out the following activities:

  • Property risk assessment activities in the field: evaluate risks related to fire, explosion, theft, natural disasters, etc.
  • Support for property activities related to insurance
  • Loss prevention activities: support clients by proposing practical solutions for risk mitigation, defining plans related to loss prevention, in line with international standards and local regulations.
  • Fire engineering activities: analyze and review fire prevention projects, sprinkler systems, technical specifications, hydraulic calculations, etc.
  • Business Interruption Risk Analysis: evaluate the potential economic and operational impacts resulting from critical events or loss of assets, helping clients to prepare in advance.
  • Special projects: follow advanced analysis projects on extreme natural events, machinery failure analysis, etc.

Why join the team:

  • You will have the opportunity to join through the Graduate Program:
  • Personal and professional growth program that combines theoretical learning moments, thanks to the Italian and international training catalog, with practical ones, through on-the-job training and continuous support from 3 figures: Tutor, Buddy, Mentor
  • Learning about the organizational structure of Marsh through an Induction Agenda where you will meet the Senior Leaders of all Marsh teams
  • Career progression with 6 months of initial internships aimed at integration into the company with an apprenticeship contract. For those with prior experience in the above-mentioned topics, a direct contractual insertion will be evaluated.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Good knowledge and proficiency in using the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the main computer tools
  • Advanced knowledge of the English language (B2)
  • Willingness to travel

Preferred characteristics:

  • Strong qualitative and quantitative skills
  • Teamwork attitude
  • Analytical and problem-solving attitude
  • Extracurricular activities will be considered a plus
