Job Responsibilities

Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.

Maintains facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, cleaning, and replacement of equipment and furnishings

Disposes of trash, waste, and other disposable materials.

Handles various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc. Must comply with all regulations such as OSHA, EPA, State Health Department, etc.

Dusts furniture, light fixtures, window sills, etc.

Empties trash containers daily.

Wet mops floors in all patient and staff rooms daily. Damp mop all corridor floors, lobby, and others daily

Cleans wash basins, mirrors, and commodes daily.

Reports any needed repairs immediately to manager.

Washes windows as scheduled.

Strips and recoats all floor areas when necessary and as scheduled.

Completes all other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Knowledge of custodial methods and procedures preferred.
