Manager, Legal Services – Operations & Asset Management
The Manager, Legal Services – Operations & Asset Management supports Marriott International's lodging businesses across Europe, the Middle East and Africa by providing practical, solutions-focused legal support for hotel operations and asset management activities.
Based in London, this role sits within the EMEA Law Department and reports to the Vice President & Senior Legal Counsel. The position acts as a key point of contact for hotel leadership and above-property teams in Europe, supporting the day-to-day legal needs of managed and franchised hotels, while also assisting with asset management transactions as required.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a principal point of contact for hotel managers and operational teams seeking legal support, coordinating with attorneys and internal stakeholders as appropriate.
- Support day-to-day legal needs of Marriott's managed hotels, franchise support organisation, and above-property disciplines across EMEA, with a predominant focus on Europe.
- Monitor and respond to legal enquiries received via email and dedicated online portals.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and amend a wide range of operational agreements, including:
- Vendor, procurement and IT agreements
- Sales, marketing, sponsorship, influencer and partnership agreements
- Food & beverage, spa, fitness and loyalty-related contracts
- Group sales, airline and travel agency agreements
- Review documents prepared by internal stakeholders and third parties to ensure compliance with Marriott's standard contractual requirements, providing revised language where needed.
- Prepare and manage internal corporate approvals and coordinate execution of agreements.
- Draft renewal and termination correspondence, and assist with amendments to management and franchise agreements.
- Support asset management attorneys on acquisitions, financings and dispositions, including operational agreements such as leases, licenses and concessions.
- Conduct and summarise legal research, providing practical recommendations and solutions.
- Instruct and manage external legal counsel on local law or specialist matters when required.
- Draft and respond to legal correspondence, memoranda and internal audit enquiries.
- Maintain and update internal legal databases and precedent resources.
Candidate Profile Experience
- A relevant university degree or equivalent professional tenure in legal practice, with demonstrable experience supporting transactional and general commercial legal work.
- Experience working individually or as part of a team on complex, high-volume legal workstreams in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Exposure to general commercial, operational or asset management related agreements within a multinational real estate, corporate or hospitality organisation is highly desirable.

- Familiarity with legal databases, AI platforms and contract management systems is an advantage.
