About The Role

As Human Resources Officer, you will play a key role supporting employees at all levels of the business. This role will have a focus on employee relations, focusing on fostering a positive workplace culture, resolving conflicts, and ensuring compliance with employment law. You will advise department leaders on HR policy and process, develop employee engagement strategies to boost morale, work with employees and leaders to resolve disputes, and have strong involvement in ER case management.

Joining the team means you will be instrumental to the success of the hotel's operations. We are looking for someone who is collaborative, objective in decision-making, and an excellent communicator!

As Human Resources Officer, key aspects of your role will include:

  • Employee Relations is a key focus for this role. You will handle cases such as grievances, disciplinary investigations, capability and long-term sickness conversations.
  • Work in close collaboration with the property's Human Resources and senior leadership team.
  • Be a W brand ambassador, ensuring the brand's voice is present in all interactions with guests and talent.
  • Work in collaboration with all heads of departments to instil a positive employee culture.
  • Develop creative ways to increase employee engagement and retention.
  • Maintain employee records securely and accurately, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and employment laws.
  • Ensure managers are knowledgeable about the Company's HR policies and process, as well as UK employment law, providing guidance where necessary.
  • Assist in all other aspects of the Human Resources function where required, including payroll, recruitment and learning & development.
  • Maintain accurate digital records for all aspects of the Human Resource's function
  • Respond to questions, requests, and concerns from talent and management regarding company and Human Resources programs, policies and guidelines.
  • Inform Human Resources management of issues related to employee relations within the division or property.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of talent and property records, files, and information.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
