JOB SUMMARY
The GraphQL API team at Marriott believes they can improve the digital experience of millions of guests around the globe. They also believe they can improve the engineering experience for their team and other Marriott associates. We believe we can do that by challenging the status quo to find the best ways possible to deliver and enjoy a digital experience.
We are seeking a highly engaged and motivated JavaScript Engineer who is passionate about continuously improving their skills and learning new technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong JavaScript/TypeScript background and possess exceptional communication skills.
In this role you will function as a technical expert and lead engineer within the GraphQL team. You will perform research, analysis, design and development on an emerging GraphQL API platform. You will be responsible for interacting with consuming digital teams (web, mobile etc) as well as domain API teams. This role acts as a bridge between the two and requires strong communication skills. To be successful in this role the person will have to be able to shuffle and prioritize multiple initiatives. It is common that you will be engaging with multiple teams from different areas and providing technical solutions to the challenges they bring to the table.
