Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician handles repairs or maintenance operations requested by guests or the department head. He/She communicates effectively with department supervisors as well as guests in order to understand the origin of the malfunction and carry out the appropriate repairs. He/She ensures that all hotel equipment, guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are maintained in perfect working order.

Main Duties

The Maintenance Technician handles repairs or maintenance operations requested by guests or the department head. He/She communicates effectively with department supervisors as well as guests in order to understand the origin of the malfunction and carry out the appropriate repairs. He/She ensures that all hotel equipment, guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are maintained in perfect working order.

Specific Duties

  • Handles room maintenance requests received from the Front Office or the department head;
  • Before entering a room, knocks on the door, announces himself/herself ("Technical Service" or "Engineering Department"), waits for the guest to open the door; if there is no response, repeats the procedure once more before entering the room;
  • Performs repairs in the guestroom while complying with company safety procedures;
  • Informs the department head once the repair has been properly completed;
  • Alerts a supervisor in case of difficulty handling a repair in order to find an appropriate solution;
  • Intervenes in hotel outlets or in the back office at the request of a department head or supervisor to carry out the necessary repairs;
  • Performs preventive maintenance operations in guestrooms or any other hotel areas in order to reduce the risk of breakdowns;
  • Takes pool water readings to ensure compliance;
  • Cleans the swimming pool (vacuuming, operating the pool robot, cleaning filters);
  • Assists external contractors;
  • Keeps technical areas organized and clean;
  • Answers the telephone to respond to any requests from department heads or the Front Office in order to guarantee impeccable guest service;
  • Able to perform all types of basic repairs including electrical work, plumbing, painting, woodwork, installation of light fixtures, flooring installation, or any other basic maintenance work, in compliance with company safety procedures.

Safety

  • Operates hazardous equipment in accordance with company safety procedures;
  • Wears personal protective equipment to prevent accidents and ensure personal safety;
  • Uses work-at-height equipment while strictly complying with safety procedures to reduce accident risks;
  • Follows hazardous materials handling procedures to ensure safe storage of equipment and/or dangerous products such as chemicals, hazardous machinery, pesticides, etc.;
  • Always carries the basic tools necessary for an intervention in order to respond promptly;
  • Ensures all flammable products are stored according to applicable safety regulations;
  • Identifies and knows how to operate all system or machine emergency stop buttons within the property to prevent accident risks.

Offer Details

  • Status: Employee – Niveau I – Echelon 2
  • Contract period: May - September 2026
  • Trial period: 15 days
  • Gross monthly base salary scale: 1,900€ - 2,100€
  • Weekly working hours: 39 hours
