Director, Data Operations – Paid Marketing
We are looking for a Director, Data Operations – Paid Marketing to join the Data, Analytics & AI (D&A) organization and lead our data products for paid marketing across a diverse range of paid media channels, including digital advertising, search, sponsored content, pay-per-click campaigns, paid social, and more.
The role is responsible for devising, implementing, and assessing strategies related to data product operations—such as data collection, curation, and analytics/AI enablement—in the paid marketing space to support lead generation, brand awareness, and revenue growth.
This position involves close collaboration with business leaders, campaign managers, data engineers and analysts, and external agencies to support:
- Data platform enhancement
- Marketing performance insights
- Media planning & strategy
- Proactive, data-driven business decisions
The role includes direct interaction with leadership teams across the D&A organization and the Marketing discipline.
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience Required
- Option 1:
- 4-year degree from an accredited university in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar quantitative discipline
- Eight or more years of progressive experience in data management, analytics, data warehousing, or marketing technology
- OR
- Option 2:
- Six or more years of experience in data management, analytics, or data warehousing
- Master's degree
Required Experience & Skills
- Design and engineering of complex data flows and systems in an omnichannel environment
- Defining and managing transformational strategies for digital marketing and paid media data (search, display, video, affiliates, open web publishers and walled gardens such as Facebook and Google)
- Knowledge of advertising technology (ad tech), real-time data processing, clean rooms, database technologies, and distributed data stores (SQL, NoSQL)
- Ability to deliver results in complex and ambiguous environments

Primary Leadership Activities
- Provide leadership, consulting, and information expertise to achieve Data Products goals in a cross-functional product pod
- Partner with business and technology disciplines to develop and deploy paid marketing data and AI enablement infrastructure
- Contribute to data strategy, data management, and enhanced data products for Marketing
- Oversee media data strategy and prioritize implementation tactics aligned to long-term business goals
- Identify KPIs and data requirements to optimize media mix strategies and ROI
- Manage vendors and technical staff supporting AWS, Snowflake, Python, and related tools
- Reduce manual processes and data quality issues related to data capture
- Build Data Product, Analytics, and Reporting roadmaps
- Partner with leadership to secure funding for critical Data Products and IT programs

- Interview and hire employees
- Promote fair and equitable treatment of associates
- Facilitate regular team communication (e.g., staff meetings)
- Model service behaviors and foster engagement
- Set goals, manage performance, and conduct reviews
- Solicit employee feedback and address concerns
- Enforce policies and disciplinary procedures
