HR Director – W Ibiza

As the HR Director, you will report directly to the General Manager and serve as a core member of the hotel Executive Committee, with a functional reporting line into Marriott's Regional Senior Director of Human Resources. This is a highly influential role, responsible for shaping the people strategy that underpins business performance, brand delivery, and guest satisfaction.

Operating with a high level of autonomy, you will act as the hotel's senior people advisor, translating commercial objectives into impactful HR strategies. Your remit spans talent acquisition, engagement, leadership development, succession planning and organisational effectiveness, ensuring the right culture, capability and structure are in place to support a complex, high-profile lifestyle hotel.

Own and execute the property-wide Human Resources strategy, aligned with W Hotels and Marriott International objectives

  • Lead talent acquisition, workforce planning and succession management, building a diverse and future-ready leadership pipeline
  • Champion associate engagement, employee relations and wellbeing, acting as a key change leader for high-impact initiatives
  • Partner with department heads to strengthen performance management, leadership capability and internal development
  • Oversee compensation, recognition, and incentive strategies, ensuring competitiveness, internal equity, and cost effectiveness
  • Provide people insights to ownership and regional stakeholders, contextualising engagement, retention, and talent data at executive forums
  • Ensure full compliance with employment legislation, brand standards, and Marriott policies, leveraging HR systems and technology effectively
  • Lead, coach, and develop the on-property HR team, embedding service excellence within the HR function itself

You are an experienced HR leader with a strong background in hotels/hospitality. and will be comfortable operating at Executive Committee level. You combine commercial acumen with deep human capital expertise and bring a pragmatic, influential leadership style. Highly credible, emotionally intelligent and values-driven, you excel in environments requiring independence, pace, and cultural nuance. Most importantly, you understand how people strategy directly drives guest experience, brand reputation, and financial performance.
