We have an opportunity in our Scotland offices for a graduate with a background in Physics or Electrical/Electronic/Power Engineering. Preference will be given to candidates interested in our Aberdeen office, but we may consider applications from those interested in our Glasgow or Edinburgh offices as well. The start date for this role is Monday 29 September 2025.
This role is an exciting opportunity to work across a number of different technology areas, as you will work for clients that have inventions spanning across engineering, electromechanical systems, control electronics, and other areas. The clients will consist of a mixture of businesses from across Scotland, universities, and international clients.
As a graduate entrant, we will give you full support to achieve qualification as a chartered UK and European patent attorney. We run our own comprehensive in-house 'Training Academy' which combines tutorials, lectures, as well as mentoring and supervision from partners and other qualified attorneys. In addition, you will also gain a range of commercial skills, such as business development and client care, as part of our ongoing personal development programme.
Applications are now open for first round assessments and will close once the position has been filled. First round interviews will take place via video call and we are aiming to run second round interviews in person. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and we therefore recommend submitting your application as soon as possible.
