QA Engineer

We're currently looking for a QA Engineer to ensure the quality of our global payment's platform.

About the role
As a QA Engineer, you'll work with a market-leading PCI DSS-compliant platform used by major global merchants to process millions of payments daily.
You'll join a team of product owners, architects, business analysts, UX/UI designers, and developers, where your mission will be to ensure platform quality and stability through robust, repeatable automated and manual quality assurance and certification testing.
You'll also help define and implement quality standards for Market Pay's products, ensuring they meet both internal and external requirements and regulations. Our QA environment is dynamic, complex and evolving, driven by high volume, security needs, and reliability expectations.
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience in testing, QA, or a related
- Experience in the payments industry
- Ability to design and execute functional, integration, and regression test plans (manual and automated)
- Strong grasp of testing methodologies and when to apply them
- Experience with various databases (MS SQL, Oracle, SQL Express, etc.)
- Basic system/network administration knowledge; understanding of network protocols
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
- Fluency in English
- A valid EU work permit is required
Bonus points
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Ability to propose and manage improvements in our testing environment
- Experience with certification testing (e.g., with banks or payment processors)
- Testing payment devices and POS terminals
- Understanding of compliance mandates and execution with third-party hosts (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover)
- Knowledge of the cards and payments domain: merchant acquiring, payment gateways, real-time authorizations, reconciliations
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Karate, or similar frameworks
- Programming experience in any language
