The primary purpose of this position is to lead, manage and develop a team of associates that perform specific functions. This includes recruitment, retention, staff development/coaching and mentoring. This position requires good organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to clearly communicate (both written and verbal) to associates, customers, and other departments. This associate must have a working knowledge of the tasks that the team is responsible for and may perform the same work as their subordinates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep team organized and up to date on processes.
  • Assist team with workflows when needed to stay within compliance standards.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to maintain and monitor operational frameworks that support process enhancements and performance metrics.
  • Analyze data and workflows to assess implications, identify opportunities, and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, quality, and productivity through process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support the execution of daily operational tasks.
  • Assist in project planning, resource alignment, documentation, and communication for assigned initiatives.
  • Conduct performance reviews for designated team members and monitor employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members to build a high-performing and agile workforce.
  • Organize and optimize daily workflows to ensure timely and effective delivery of services and products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal leaders and external partners to ensure operational continuity.
  • Execute complex departmental tasks requiring advanced knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Operations. Preferred prior experience in working with Policy Support tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with performance management and process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Sharepoint).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple channels of communications coming in at one time.
  • Ability to know when to prioritize certain tasks over others in order to meet deadlines.
