What you will be doing:
· Proactively prospect, solicit, and develop accounts through phone outreach, personal visits, outside sales calls, email, and other communication methods.
· Conduct hotel site inspections, host in‑house and off‑property client entertainment, and maintain strong, consistent follow‑up practices.
· Prepare and present proposals and contracts, both written and verbal, in a timely, accurate, profitable, and professional manner.
· Manage all account details through the group sales process, including effective turnover to the Catering/Event Services team for final arrangements.
· Participate in required meetings, including pre‑convention, business review, and departmental meetings.
· Submit reports, proposals, contracts, and client correspondence within established deadlines.
· Other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
· Ability to assess client needs, negotiate pricing effectively, and craft solutions that support revenue goals.
· Previous hotel sales experience with a strong understanding of Group and/or Business Transient markets.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
· Solid mathematical skills to accurately calculate room blocks, average rates, forecasts, and related sales data.
· Strong networking and marketing abilities, with confidence representing the property in the community and industry.
· Ability to actively participate in monthly meetings and organizational events to support sales strategies and visibility.
· Curiosity and willingness to continually learn and understand assigned market(s) to uncover new business opportunities.
· Ability to work on site during scheduled hours.
