Engineering/Maintenance/Grounds

Purpose Of Position: To repair and maintain hotel equipment and building systems to provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests and employees. Answer guest complaints and communicate with guests and associates.

Essential Functions:

• General maintenance of outside property (landscaping, snow shoveling, cutting grass, inspections, light fixtures, flags, repair as needed.)
• Daily inspections of interior (light fixtures, carpeting, general maintenance, and repairs as needed.)
• Daily inspections of swimming pool area (pumps, temperature, chemicals, and cleanliness)
• Maintenance requests: Prioritize requests and repairs items as needed, this item encompasses entire property.
• Answer radio/emergency calls promptly.
• Fire Alarms: inspect regularly, respond to all alarms when on property to determine cause, act accordingly.
• Communicate effectively with other associates, guests and vendors.
• Safe and careful use of equipment.
• Appropriate use of materials and equipment to avoid waste, and unnecessary repairs.
• Maintain safe work environment.
• Other Duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Previous experience with general repair preferred
• Ability to use all general repair tools
• Ability to use ladders and lift heavy items
• Ability to read simple drawings and specifications Must be able to perform basic math
• High School education or equivalent.
• Must be able to clearly communicate in English
