DevOps Specialist

Mapon invites experienced DevOps specialists to join one of our teams - the Infrastructure Team. This team provides:

• Server infrastructure maintenance, scaling, and development
• Back-end component development and maintenance shared in our products
• Provisioning of test and development environments, deployment processes
• Creation and maintenance of CI/CD processes
• IT security and data backups
• System continuity and component monitoring

In this team, in collaboration with other senior-level colleagues, you will manage GitLab-CI processes and systems, Docker environments, maintain our internal data repositories, and collaborate with other development teams to ensure development process support.

Your Responsibilities:

• CI/CD and Development Processes
  • Maintain and improve GitLab CI/CD process
  • Optimize build, test, and deployment processes for teams
• Containerized Environments
  • Manage, monitor, and optimize Docker environments used for development and testing
• Data Flow Reliability
  • Manage and monitor data replication processes from production databases to internal data warehouse (ETL)
  • Ensure automation and stability of these processes (data transformations are performed by development teams)
  • Maintain and update the tools used (e.g., Apache NiFi)
• Infrastructure and Automation
  • Support and improve Infrastructure as Code approach (currently Ansible, with potential to expand)
  • Optimize and automate processes in our on-premise environment
• Monitoring and Alerts
  • Maintain and develop monitoring and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix)
• Collaboration and Improvements
  • Collaborate with development teams to propose and implement improvements in tools, processes, and infrastructure
  • Promote system stability, performance, and security

Note: DevOps Mapon team does not include on-call duty. Incident resolution is currently provided by senior developers in various teams.

Your Skills and Knowledge:

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD
• Good understanding of Docker and containerized environments
• MySQL knowledge (queries, working with data, optimization)
• Understanding of data warehouses and denormalized data structures
• Knowledge of ETL concepts and data flow reliability (preferred experience with Apache NiFi or similar tools)
• Programming/scripting skills (Bash, Python, PHP, Node.js)
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix)
• Understanding of data security and privacy principles (GDPR)
• Positive attitude, initiative, and a desire to continuously improve

Advantage if you have:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
• Knowledge of Kubernetes or Podman
