Marketing Manager, Health Marketing Strategist & Messaging Lead

We're looking for a Marketing Manager, Health Marketing Strategist & Messaging Lead to develop key messaging, marketing collateral and campaigns, support marketing operations, and execute on digital marketing strategies that engage our Group Benefits members and sponsors. We are looking for a marketer with a flexible mindset, desire to learn, and a thirst for continuous improvement to join our cross-functional Agile marketing go-to-market (GTM) squads. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a diverse skillset who is ready to work collaboratively.

About the Team: Our Group Benefits Marketing team delivers innovative digital marketing solutions that promote differentiated health and wellness benefits, services, and experiences. Our goal is to empower our customers to live better, healthier lives, and build strong, engaged organizations while being a trusted health partner to Canadians.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Craft positioning strategies: co-lead the creation and execution of holistic GTM strategies that bring our health partner story to life across omnichannel and omni-stakeholder touchpoints, while crafting differentiated positioning strategies and compelling user stories that communicate our unique value proposition, strengthen brand equity, and drive customer loyalty.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business (i.e. Compliance, Distribution, Canada Communications, Thought Leadership, and Canada Brand) to align marketing initiatives with shared goals and build strong partnerships to ensure marketing efforts are integrated, strategically aligned, and supportive of broader business objectives.
  • Deliver compelling marketing campaigns that support the launch of new products and enhancements. Your goal will be to engage our target audience and drive awareness and adoption.
  • Provide support to sales and customer-facing teams to equip them with the necessary tools, training, RFP content, and materials to effectively market our products and services. Your aim will be to empower them to effectively communicate the value of our offerings to customers.
  • Thought leadership: You will partner with internal thought leaders and subject matter experts to prepare for speaking engagements, external ads, sponsored content, reports, etc. to ensure consistency with our messaging.
  • Measure campaign effectiveness by analyzing data and insights, you will drive continuous improvement and make data-driven decisions to optimize future marketing efforts.
  • Be a member of the Agile marketing squad to understand squad needs, execute timely project delivery, participate in retrospective meetings for future improvements. You will identify potential bottlenecks, prepare for upcoming sprints, present work to stakeholders, conduct testing, analyze data for enhanced outcomes, and utilize Manulife's GenAI tools to optimize processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • University or college degree in marketing, communications, media, or related field of study.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Marketing role.
  • Excellent writing skills with a strong ability to create, draft, and edit written marketing collateral that drives awareness, engagement, and action.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel, Smartsheet, and Mural.
  • Data-oriented, with experience working within marketing automation and sales enablement tools (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Seismic) and analytics software (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Process- and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Solutions-focused mindset.
  • Results-oriented and execution-focused within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and execute initiatives.
  • An analytical mind that can measure and optimize the performance of marketing campaigns using data and insights.
  • Familiar with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies, such as AI tools.
  • Strong relationship management skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-starter, motivated, and critical thinker.
  • Roll-your-sleeves-up proactive.
  • Team player.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Group Benefits, health care, or related industry experience highly valued.
  • Understanding of Agile values and principles is an advantage.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.

Salary range is expected to be between $86,250.00 CAD - $155,250.00 CAD
