Mantech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Linux Engineer to join our team in Camp Springs, MD. This is a hybrid position.

This position involves comprehensive system engineering, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of these environments through testing, scripting, and proactive monitoring, while also supporting virtualization technologies and collaborating on cloud migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, develop, and integrate hardware and software to support large-scale LINUX environments with virtualization.
• Test large-scale LINUX and virtual environments.
• Perform a variety of engineering and operational assignments related to Storage operations, backup operations, and virtualization software (VMware's vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V) on enterprise-level IT systems.
• Proactively monitor systems for Disk/CPU/Memory/Network utilization and overall system health.
• Implement High Availability for federal agency systems.
• Install Operating Systems, hardware, and software.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software hosting mission-critical applications.

Required Qualifications:

• Analysis related to design, development, and integration of hardware and software to support large scale Linux environments with virtualization including RedHat
• 10 years+ experience with large scale LINUX and virtual environments.
• Experience performing a variety of engineering and operational related assignments associated with Storage operations, backup operations, and virtualization software (VMware's vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V on a set of enterprise-level IT systems.
• 10 years+ experience writing scripts with a scripting language, with knowledge of ANSIBLE
• Familiarity with DevOps and ITIL processes
• Experienced in AWS, AZURE, Google Cloud Services, and other Cloud environments
• Demonstrated experience in automation of routine tasks and associated industry leading toolsets

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant cloud and RedHat linux certification(s)

Security Clearance:

• Must be able to pass USCIS background investigation (public trust)

The projected compensation range for this position is $96,100.00-$159,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
