Our client, an industry leader in automotive manufacturing, is seeking a Vehicle Cost Engineer (VCE) to join their team. As a Vehicle Cost Engineer (VCE), you will be part of the Vehicle Development Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Pay Range: Pay will be up to $43/hour (dependent on experience)

What's the Job?

• Manage the process of developing and reaching consensus on vehicle-level cost targets for technical cost and investment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support vehicle program business case development at the program level.
• Assimilate large amounts of component cost data from System Cost Engineers and condense this data for vehicle-level reporting to upper management.
• Oversee the overall cost roll-up timeline and ensure timely delivery of cost reports.
• Work closely with the vehicle Model Responsible to manage the vehicle checkbook, including component costs and investments, throughout the lifecycle of the program.
