VA Benefits Case Manager

The Veterans Benefits Case Manager supports attorneys in representing veterans seeking VA disability and related benefits. This role serves as the primary liaison between the firm and veteran clients, managing cases through resolution while ensuring accurate documentation, timely filings, and consistent client communication.

Job Title: VA Benefits Case Manager, Racine WI

Location: Racine, WI

Pay Range: $22-24/hour depend on Experience

Shift: 1st Shift Hours

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for veteran clients and their families throughout the benefits process
  • Gather military service history, medical records, and supporting documentation
  • Assist veterans in developing, filing, and tracking VA disability and benefits claims
  • Request, obtain, and organize service records, medical evidence, and nexus documentation (obtaining IME's)
  • Monitor claim status and deadlines, including appeals and supplemental claims
  • Prepare case summaries and documentation for attorney review and submission to the VA
  • Educate clients on the VA claims and appeals process and required evidence
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date case notes in the firm's case management system
  • Ensure compliance with VA regulations, firm procedures, and confidentiality standards
  • Support attorneys with appeals, hearings, and evidence development before the VA and related tribunals
  • Perform other duties as assigned; duties and responsibilities may be modified, expanded, or changed at any time at the direction of management

Qualifications:

  • Experience in case management, legal support, veterans services, or a related field preferred
  • Familiarity with VA disability benefits and claims processes strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with case management software and standard office technology
