Marine Field Service Technician

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (weekend availability as needed)

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000/year + benefits

Are you a skilled marine technician who enjoys hands-on work with advanced marine systems? We are seeking a Marine Field Service Technician to perform repairs, maintenance, and installations across a wide range of systems, including electrical, hydraulic, propulsion, air conditioning, and mechanical systems. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations on marine systems (AC/DC electrical, hydraulics, propulsion, air conditioning, structural, and mechanical).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, marinas, and vendors to ensure work quality and timelines.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Requirements:

  • Associate or technical degree in a related field.
  • Proven hands-on experience with marine systems and vessel repair/refit.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish and Italian is highly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email communication.
