Product Development Engineer
Our client, a leading global medical technology company, is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join their team. As a Product Development Engineer, you will be part of the R&D / New Product Development department supporting innovative product solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and effective communication, which will align successfully in the organization.
What's the Job?
- Support the development of new medical products by applying engineering fundamentals and concepts to advance product development deliverables within the functional area.
- Assist in the installation and qualification of R&D equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Perform data analysis and prepare technical reports based on product development activities to support decision-making.
- Support purchasing processes for materials, equipment, and testing consumables to facilitate project progress.
- Develop and validate test methods for raw materials and in-process inspections, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met.
What's Needed?
- BS degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Biomedical.
- 1-2 years of product engineering or pharmaceutical development experience, especially in moving from pilot to commercial scale production.
- Experience working in an FDA-regulated environment (21CFR211, 21CFR820, ISO13485).
- Proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or Excel, and technical writing skills.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations for medical devices, drug products, or combination products is a plus.
