Our client, Michigan Medicine, is seeking a Patient Services Intermediate to join their team. As a Patient Services Intermediate, you will be part of the health organization supporting clinical and administrative teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Patient Services Intermediate

Location: Ann Arbor, MI

Pay Range: $20.00-22.00/hr.

Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm

What's the Job?

• Coordinate and schedule appointments, surgeries, and diagnostic tests for pediatric patients across multiple specialties.
• Transcribe and process referrals received through various systems.
• Manage incoming calls and inquiries from patients, families, and internal departments.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and verify coverage using established guidelines.
• Maintain and update MiChart scheduling grids and templates, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3–4 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
• MUST be proficient with MiChart (Epic), CPT coding, and scheduling systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• MUST be eligible for rehire at Michigan Medicine/UM - HR check will be conducted.
• Able to comply with Michigan Medicine immunization requirements for MMR, Varicella, TDaP, TB test, and an annual flu shot.
