Operating Engineer 2

Our client, a leading organization in facility management and maintenance, is seeking an Operating Engineer 2 to join their team. As an Operating Engineer 2, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the Facilities Operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, adaptability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Oxford, OH

Pay Range: Open

What's the Job?

  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across all systems.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, and Control systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Monitor equipment performance, record readings, and make necessary adjustments for optimal operation.
  • Maintain safety standards by adhering to proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors, monitor work quality, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
  • HVAC certification, with EPA 608 Type II Certification required; Universal certification preferred.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel.
