Manufacturing Quality Engineer (Product & Production Quality)

Plan, lead, and support manufacturing product and production quality activities throughout the project and production life cycle in a heavy-duty truck manufacturing environment. Develop, improve, and implement manufacturing quality tools and methodologies (PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC) to ensure consistent application across engineering and production teams. Design, analyze, and support inspection and testing processes, including gauges, fixtures, and measurement equipment, to ensure product precision and compliance with engineering specifications. Perform statistical quality analysis to assess process capability, control variation, and proactively manage manufacturing quality risks. Conduct root cause analysis on product and process non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions, deviations, and documentation meet reliability, compliance, and production standards.

2 to 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing or production environment (automotive, heavy equipment, industrial manufacturing preferred). Strong hands-on knowledge of manufacturing quality processes, including PFMEA, Control Plans, and Statistical Process Control (SPC). Experience leading root cause analysis (8D, RCCA, CAPA) for production or product quality issues. Proficiency using statistical and quality tools such as Minitab and Excel to analyze manufacturing data. Basic working knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Catia, or Creo for reviewing engineering drawings and inspection requirements.

This role is focused on manufacturing and production quality. Software QA or IT testing experience alone is not applicable.

Competitive hourly pay for a professional-level manufacturing quality engineering role. Opportunity to work with a global leader in heavy-duty truck manufacturing and large-scale production operations. Hands-on impact within product and production quality engineering, directly influencing manufacturing performance. Collaborative, plant-focused work environment with exposure to advanced quality systems and manufacturing processes. Potential for long-term career growth with a well-established industrial organization.
