Job Title: Die Support Technician

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in extrusion processes, is seeking a dedicated Die Support Technician to join their dynamic team. As a Die Support Technician, you will be an integral part of the Die Shop supporting the extrusion operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent teamwork abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Alexandria, MN

Pay Range: $20+/hour

Shift: Monday - Friday 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM OR Monday - Wednesday 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, Thursday 6:30 PM - 12:30 AM

What's the Job?

• Deliver and return extrusion dies, bolsters, and manufacturing orders to work centers efficiently and accurately.
• Manage and safely operate caustic (sodium hydroxide) for die cleaning, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Maintain and update the die reporting system daily to support process improvements and data accuracy.
• Monitor die cards, recommend process enhancements, and assist in data collection for process optimization.
• Participate in safety training, hazardous material handling, and spill response to ensure a safe work environment for all.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 5+ years of manufacturing experience, with specific knowledge of extrusion processes.
• Extensive experience in die shop operations, including die handling and inspection.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read die drawings, inspect parts, and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
