Desktop Support Technician

Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join their team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be part of the IT support department supporting onsite technical operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Desktop Support Technician Location: Fremont, CA *fully onsite* Pay Range: $38.00-$40.00/hr Shift: M-F, 8am to 5pm

What's the Job?

  • Diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems related to application software, networking, and operating systems.
  • Assist walk-up users with computer issues at the Tech HUB, providing timely support.
  • Prioritize desktop tickets and identify problem sources using cloud-based digital tracking tools like ServiceNow.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and support computer workstations, laptops, and other hardware.
  • Research, install, and troubleshoot all aspects of hardware and software, ensuring optimal performance.

What's Needed?

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to demonstrate them during interviews.
  • Experience providing exceptional customer service to stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Critical thinking skills to identify and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Experience with Active Directory and broad knowledge of Office 365 applications.
