Our client, a dynamic organization in the facilities management and industrial sector, is seeking a Chief Building Engineer to join their team. As a Chief Building Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering and Technical Services department supporting maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Jacksonville, FL

What's the Job?

• Perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.
• Lead operations, assign work orders, and provide technical and procedural training to team members and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with clients to schedule preventive maintenance during optimal times to minimize business disruption.
• Inspect and ensure the proper operation of building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing, and more.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations, ensuring safety and operational continuity.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing or multi-use facilities.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; additional certifications such as EPA 608 are required.
• Ability to adhere to rigorous safety policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong organizational skills.
• Physical capability to perform tasks involving stooping, standing, walking, climbing, and lifting heavy loads.
