Building Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the facility management sector, is seeking a dedicated Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering and Technical Services department supporting a call center office environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong maintenance skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Lenexa, KS

What's the Job?

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Strong communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Physical capability to perform building rounds, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry loads of 50 lbs. or more.
