Our client, a leader in facility management and maintenance services, is seeking a Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Gastonia NC

What's the Job?

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple systems and facilities
• Perform preventative maintenance and monitor repairs for Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, and Life Safety systems
• Travel between facilities to ensure proper functioning and compliance with standards (company vehicle provided)
• Maintain responsibility for inventory control, purchasing, and contracted maintenance services
• Record system readings, calibrate equipment, and make adjustments to optimize performance

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems
• EPA 608 Type II Certification required; EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred
• Proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel
