Our client, a leader in facility management, is seeking a Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintenance which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Building Engineer Location: Des Moines, IA Pay: $30-$35/hr.

What's the Job?

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal facility performance.
• Travel between multiple facilities to monitor and maintain equipment functionality (company vehicle provided)
• Maintain responsibility for facility services, including preventative maintenance and inventory control.
• Record equipment readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation.
• Comply with safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe workplace.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 5-7 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot various mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
