Building Engineer

Our client, a leader in industrial manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the engineering and technical services department supporting operational excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proactive problem-solving, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems
  • Monitor and ensure the efficient operation of building systems including HVAC, fire suppression, and safety equipment
  • Respond promptly to emergency repairs and routine maintenance requests
  • Assist in implementing preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school training preferred
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in building maintenance or engineering
  • Universal Refrigeration license and Lift Systems Certifications highly preferred
  • Ability to work independently with confidence and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
