Our client, a leading organization in facility management, is seeking a Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the Facilities Maintenance Department supporting the Operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Building Engineer Location: Fairfax, VA

What's the Job?

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across all systems.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, and Life Safety systems to ensure optimal operation.
• Monitor and record equipment readings, making adjustments as necessary to maintain performance standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, including hazardous materials handling and workplace safety protocols.
• Coordinate with outside contractors, monitor work quality, and manage inventory of tools and instruments.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel.
