Building Engineer

Our client, a leader in facility management, is seeking a Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the maintenance team supporting multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Philadelphia, PA

What's the Job?

  • Perform maintenance and monitoring repairs to Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, and Control systems for the facility to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Travel between multiple facilities, ensuring their proper function and timely maintenance (company vehicle provided)
  • Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, and general maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to maintain HVAC systems at optimal performance levels.
  • Comply with safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe workplace while recognizing and proposing methods to eliminate hazards.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot various Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • EPA 608 Type II Certification.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
